Marley Alutec, leading suppliers of Aluminium rainwater systems have launched a ‘Trained Installer Course’ for contracting companies interested in expanding their skills set in this specialist area.
The course covers the techniques involved in installing the Company’s range of rainwater systems as well as an overview of the key considerations to take account of prior to the installation and the correct method of material scheduling.
The one day course includes familiarisation with the product range, practical tips, a look at the common installation pitfalls and best on-site practice.
A large part of the training is a hands-on practical session, which takes place in Alutec’s dedicated training area, using a roof rig that simulates rainfall to test the effectiveness of the trainees’ installations.
Held at Alutec’s Head office in Bedford and conducted by the Company’s Technical Director, Tony Wereszczynski, who comments: “
With its strong environmental credentials, aluminium rainwater is increasingly being specified. The Alutec training course is aimed at equipping installers with the product knowledge and techniques required to fit a system which will last a lifetime and also give the client the confidence that the product has been professionally installed.”
On successful completion of the course, delegates are supplied with a certificate, identity card and accompanying literature as well as a practical gift pack.
All trained installers are listed on a database that is available to specifiers and clients on request.
The course is free of charge, however demand is high and places are limited.
