Jointing
Alutec traditional systems are bolted in the conventional way. Joints should be sealed with Alutec sealant by applying two 8mm beads of sealant centrally to the gutter socket. Angles have double sockets, allowing for gutter offcuts to be jointed without the need of an additional union. Slotted fixing holes allow for thermal movement.
Alutec modern systems employ the patented Aligator® snap fit jointing method, which can reduce installation times by up to 40%. Joints are sealed using four beads of sealant, internal unions simply snap into position, ensuring a leak free joint.
