Maintenance

If correctly installed, maintenance should be minimal. An annual inspection regime is recommended to ensure that gutters and pipes are kept clear of debris to maintain the designed flow rate, and that all joints and fixings are secure.

Leaf guards are available as standard to fit all Alutec gutters and should be considered for buildings within a close proximity to trees, areas susceptible to airborne debris, or locations with restricted access to gutters.

To maintain the aesthetic appearance of polyester powder coated finishes; grime build up should be removed by cleaning with water and a non toxic mild detergent. Do not use abrasive cleaners.

Mill finish (unpainted aluminium) will develop a natural protective coating of aluminium oxide reducing further oxidization, hence no further surface maintenance is required.
