Health & Safety Week 2022

Health & Safety Week at Marley Alutec was marked last week with many interactive activities on the theme “protecting ourselves and each other”. The global initiative of our parent company, Aliaxis, focused on raising awareness and the responsibility to speak up take action to keep all employees safe.

The many activities included fire extinguisher demonstrations, manual handling refresher videos and forklift stability training. Employees also competed against each other in several ‘Life Saver Challenges’ with prizes awarded for the most successful efforts.

Mark Andrews, Vice President of Aliaxis UK, participated in a safety tour of the offices and warehouse and later spoke to employees, highlighting that safety is the organisation’s number one priority. “Safety comes before all else. Every one of us is responsible for making sure that we all get to return home to our loved ones every single day. Our approach to safety forms good habits for our people, both at work and in all other aspects of their lives. We speak up and never compromise.”
